OUR STORY
Where Sea Meets Story
Locally rooted, expertly guided sea safaris from the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way. We’re not just guides, we’re guardians of the stories, wildlife, and wonder of this coast. The Keane and McIntyre families have fished the waters of Blacksod Bay for over a century. Micheal’s grandfathers were pioneers, Harry Keane skippered the first motor boat in the bay, while Michael Mor fished from currachs and later a Scottish-built hooker, the Doris Head. Today, that deep connection to the sea continues with Micheal, his brothers, and nephews—guests often spot the Cora Jo, skippered by Micheal’s nephew, during our trips.

Ever so friendly and really enjoyable. We saw Gannets, Guillemots, Seals, black rabbits (yes they are there – no joke), maybe a fin of a basking shark. Best thing- we could bring our dog. Thx so much.

Had a fantastic day out in Blacksod Bay on the Sea Safari rib with Michael. We went for a tour around the islands and then had a stop off on Iniskea South on one of the best days of the year. Sea was flat calm and we learnt a lot . It’s been a long time since I was there before and it was great to be back especially on the fast moving RIB. Recommended.

Looking forward to my next adventure with Blacksod sea safari!
I joined Blacksod Sea Safari with a walking club. It was an amazing experience. The cliffs are spectacular, we saw seals on a dessert beach, dolphins playing around us. The lads knew the best spots to take us to and had plenty of time to enjoy. Blacksod is a great place to visit.Catriona E – Tripadvisor

Incredible experience with Mick-the boat ride was thrilling, we saw dolphins, seals, cormorant birds and Mick shared interesting information on them. The rocks and sea arch were fascinating too. Inishkea island is beautiful- turquoise water, golden sand and the old houses to explore. The best boat trip operator by far.
